The Big Breakfast (Oxford Reading Tree, Stage 7, More Stories Pack C) ePUB ebook download The big breakfast is a series of fiction book about three children; Biff, Chip and Kipper. In the story of the magic key, the children are told by their dad to complete a lot of chores while their mum is away. However, the children feel lazy and procrastinate in getting the chores done. Suddenly, they discover a magic key which takes them back into time. Biff, Chip and Kipper become workers of Mr Plum who bombards them with chores and never appreciates the hard work they do for him. As the children start to regret not completing their own chores at home, they worry if the magic key will ever take them back home again…

This exciting picture book is great for children around the age of 7-9 years old. Within the book the children realise that the chores they had was not as bad as the chores the children had to do when they went back in time. Therefore, I feel that this book could be used as an introduction to history as it compares the children’s current life to how their life could have been if they had lived in the past. Since the children discover a magic key and go on an adventure, this story could also be great for English where she children can use this book to write their own short adventure story.
